Organizational Profile:

Japan Association for UNHCR is a Non-Profit Organization established on the 5th of October 2000, for the purpose of supporting the activities conducted by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The major aim of the Association is to directly bridge UNHCR and the Japanese public over the world’s refugee issues and support. Under the guidance of UNHCR’s general policy on public sector fundraising, it works closely with the UNHCR Representation in Japan.

Activities:

• Providing information and motivation on world’s refugee issues to the Japanese public.
• Supporting the activities conducted by UNHCR and the related parties.
• Promoting public fundraising and inviting supporters to the Association.
• Setting up projects and services on the above matters.
