With offices in Paris, Madrid, London and New York, Action Against Hunger works in 36 countries around the world. It intervenes through emergency relief operations in situations of war, crisis, and famine in four keys sectors: nutrition, health, water and food security.

Areas of activity show programs, techniques, and training in the above sectors and disaster preparedness. Missions gives overview of country programs, history, and context. News provides access journal, bibliography of documents, and ACF news.

Website provides information about Center, training opportunities, and regional programs. Programs include Program for Enhancement of Emergency Response (PEER) and Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (DANA) program.

EuronAid was created in 1980 as an association of NG0s, to be active in the field of food security and food aid. A EuronAid goal is to enable NG0s to deliver high quality food security and food aid programs for the people they seek to assist.The EuronAid services comprise: Support in programming, accounting and financial administration; Procurement of food and other commodities; Logistics, including a door-to-door transport system, General and specific information and training; Training on the application of Project Cycle Management (PCM) for food-aid, food-security and emergency-aid programmes.

Under Documents, EuronAid provides access to papers on strategy, code of conduct, policy and events achives. EuronAid FTP provides access to documents, guidebooks, and forms for working with EuronAid. Under FTP Help you can find basic descriptions of the other categories and downloading instructions. The NGO Guidebook consists of information on EuronAid policies, preparation of project proposal and implementation of a program through EuronAid. Information on emergency management, coordination, logistics, and procurement are included. European Commission provides evaluation of EC Food Aid Programs, and in the future will provide information on Food Security Programs and technical country documents. EA Technical Forms provide various forms required when dealing with EuronAid and Food Aid programs.






FEWS Project

The objective of FEWS NET is to help establish more effective, sustainable, and African-led food security and response planning networks that reduce the vulnerability of at-risk groups.

Website includes reports and updates on food and weather situations in Africa. Technical reports online include agronomic information, commodity prices, and food aid evaluations. FEWS uses the above to analyze vulnerability in the region. Information on approach, guidelines, and current assessments of vulnerability analysis are available. A full list of FEWS publications (English and French) including special reports and a bulletin are also available.
