University of Waikato whose aim is to develop the underlying technology for

international development and humanitarian issues in Britain.

provides access to information about the Institute, research and
policy programs, and publications.
Many subjects covered including human rights, staff security, education,
health and nutrition, and management. The site is searchable and maintains
a good links directory.The Humanitarian Policy Group (HPG) (located on home page)
concerns policy and practice in the response to conflict, instability,
disasters and associated humanitarian needs. HPG offers access to the pages

- Disasters is a major, peer-reviewed quarterly journal
reporting on all aspects of disaster studies, policy and management.
The journal maintains a balance between academic papers, field reports
from relief workers, case studies, and articles of general interest.

Refugee Studies Centre

Refugee Studies Centre (RSC) is part of the University of Oxford's
International Development Centre at Queen Elizabeth House. Its objectives
are to carry out multidisciplinary research and teaching on the causes and
consequences of forced migration; to disseminate the results of that

community; and to understand the experience of forced migration from the
point of view of the affected populations.

early warning in cases of mass migration.

site provides information on refugees and refugee issues. Issues can be
found on the top tool bar and includes: early warning, emergency relief,
protection, refugee women’s issues, internally displaced persons, and
building local capacity. Information can also be viewed by country. Access
