With offices in Paris, Madrid, London and New York, Action Against Hunger works in 36 countries around the world. It intervenes through emergency relief operations in situations of war, crisis, and famine in four keys sectors: nutrition, health, water and food security.

Areas of activity show programs, techniques, and training in the above sectors and disaster preparedness. Missions gives overview of country programs, history, and context. News provides access journal, bibliography of documents, and ACF news.

Home page presents daily updated news from member organizations and Reuters News Service.  The site also includes an international register of aid suppliers; an information exchange for members (to apply to be a member visit members application); databases of training, events (diary), and contacts in the relief community (AlertNet Members) and background information relevant to disaster relief. Relief Resources provide access to documents, articles, and links to sites on topics such as satellite images, children and war, working in relief, refugees, and technology.  For specific inquiries use the search engine.

ADPC is a regional resource center working towards disaster reduction for safer communities and sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific.

Website provides information about Center, training opportunities, and regional programs.  Programs include Program for Enhancement of Emergency Response (PEER) and Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (DANA) program. 

ADPC: Information, Research and Network Support. ADPC maintains a specialized library on disaster management. Search the database for publications, reports, case studies, and research papers. Underneath the search engine is a link to the address where requests can be sent.

CARE helps communities prepare for emergencies as well as provide food, water, shelter and health care to survivors of natural disasters and armed conflicts. CARE's rehabilitation programs include landmine removal and awareness, refugee repatriation and conflict resolution.

Website includes wide array of information on health topics, data and statistics (mostly U.S.), publications (many on-line), and  training opportunities.  Use the search engine to get to documents and links of specific interest.

Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) oftenincludes international articles. Use the search engine to find specific articles or browse by subject.

Web page offers list of publications that can be ordered or (if MMWR) can be found on-line. Topics are: communicable diseases, water / sanitation, nutrition, general.  Publications are also listed country specific. Famine-Affected, Refugee, and Displaced Populations: Recommendations for Public Health Issues is available on line.
