Disasters is a major, peer-reviewed quarterly journal reporting
on all aspects of disaster studies, policy and management. The journal
maintains a balance between academic papers, field reports from
relief workers, case studies, and articles of general interest.

Relief) an international NGO with offices in London, Canberra, Auckland
and Geneva - relieves suffering in disasters by selecting, training
and providing competent and effective personnel to humanitarian
aid agencies world-wide.

The Refugee Studies Centre (RSC) is part of the
University of Oxford's International Development Centre at Queen
Elizabeth House. Its objectives are to carry out multidisciplinary
