The SMC
is a non-profit research institute established in 1987 and based in Quezon
City, Philippines. SMC is dedicated to encourage and facilitate the study
of socio-demographic, economic, political, psychological, historical,
legislative and religious aspects of human migration and refugee movements
from and within Asia.

also contains subscription information and table of contents for two SMC
journals: Asian

Migrant is specifically targeted toward field workers, activists, NGO
associates, and researchers; and often contains articles on area refugee
populations. A library catalog will also be available online in the future.

The
central role of UNICEF in emergencies is to act as an advocate for
children. The organization believes that humanitarian interventions should
be integrated with ongoing programs directed toward children and therefore
focuses its assistance on such interventions as health, nutrition,
immunization, education, water and sanitation.

one’s own and the home page is pretty descriptive for its categories.

access to country-specific information about refugees. Issues
offers a topic-specific route to articles about refugee children, the
environment, women's issues. Evaluation and Policy Analysis offers access to UNHCR
reports that can be searched by country, theme, or date. Statistics
related to crisis situations and UNHCR and partner efforts are also
