EuronAid
was created in 1980 as an association of NG0s, to be active in the field of
food security and food aid. A EuronAid goal is to enable NG0s to
deliver high quality food security and food aid programs for the people
they seek to assist.The EuronAid services comprise: Support in programming,
accounting and financial administration; Procurement of food and other
commodities; Logistics, including a door-to-door transport system, General
and specific information and training; Training on the application of
Project Cycle Management (PCM) for food-aid, food-security and
emergency-aid programmes.

Documents, EuronAid provides access to papers on strategy, code of conduct, policy and events achives.
EuronAid FTP provides access to documents, guidebooks, and forms for
working with EuronAid. Under FTP Help you can
find basic descriptions of the other categories and downloading
instructions. The NGO Guidebook
consists of information on EuronAid policies, preparation of project
proposal and implementation of a program through EuronAid. Information on
emergency management, coordination, logistics, and procurement are

Commission provides evaluation of EC Food Aid Programs, and in the
future will provide information on Food Security Programs and technical

Food Aid Management (FAM)

Food
Aid Management (FAM) was created in 1989 by five U.S. private voluntary
organizations to "promote the efficient and effective use of food aid
resources to help alleviate hunger and contribute to food security".
The FAM membership has grown to 17 U.S. PVOs and FAM enjoys observer status
with the World Food Programme and EuronAid.

The New Zealand Digital Library project is a research programme at The
University of Waikato whose aim is to develop the underlying technology for
digital libraries and make it available publicly so that others can use it
to create their own collections.

UN collections” which includes the WHO –PAO Disaster Virtual Library and numerous other

The Overseas Development Institute is a leading independent
think-tank on international development and humanitarian issues in Britain.
Website provides access to information about the
Institute, research
and policy programs, and publications.
Many subjects covered including human rights, staff security, education,
health and nutrition, and management. The site is searchable and maintains
a good links directory. The Humanitarian Policy Group (HPG) (located on home
page) concerns policy and practice in the response to conflict,
instability, disasters and associated humanitarian needs. HPG offers access
to the pages below as well as other publications,

Disasters is a major, peer-reviewed quarterly journal reporting on
all aspects of disaster studies, policy and management. The journal
maintains a balance between academic papers, field reports from relief

Refugee Studies Centre

The Refugee Studies Centre (RSC) is part of the
University of Oxford's International Development Centre at Queen Elizabeth
House. Its objectives are to carry out multidisciplinary research and
teaching on the causes and consequences of forced migration; to disseminate
the results of that research to policy makers and practitioners, as well as
within the academic community; and to understand the experience of forced
migration from the point of view of the affected populations.

for debate on the most immediate issues facing refugees and internally
displaced people and those working with them. Articles, research abstracts,
