The Refugee Studies Centre (RSC) is part of the University of Oxford's International Development Centre at Queen Elizabeth House. Its objectives are to carry out multidisciplinary research and teaching on the causes and consequences of forced migration; to disseminate the results of that research to policy makers and practitioners, as well as within the academic community; and to understand the experience of forced migration from the point of view of the affected populations.

Some current articles are available on the website. Library includes material on such topics as psycho-social issues, human rights, international law, relief administration, education, health and nutrition. Currently developing a Digital library.

Articles, research abstracts, conference reports and news items, present practice-oriented findings and analyse policy issues. Articles from FMR and its predecessor the Refugee Participation Network Newsletter are available on the web. Topics have included children and youth, role of military in humanitarian work, education and training, and reproductive health. Also find information on news, events, and links.

Searchable website offers daily updates on complex emergencies and natural disasters, and has extensive country background information. Large Directory of Humanitarian agencies provides contact information and websites for UN agencies, Governmental organizations, NGOs, academic and resource organizations. Libraryprovides an online archive of humanitarian, human rights and development reference documents related to crisis situations and humanitarian response.

Search by organization, date, country, or keyword. Keywords include refugee, emergency management, shelter/site planning, logistics, early warning, and coordination. Their website offers information on a variety of topics related to the Kosovar effort including access to their GIS/Map and Data coordination unit, which provides information on pcodes, GIS and other map technologies.

The central role of UNICEF in emergencies is to act as an advocate for children. The organization believes that humanitarian interventions should be integrated with ongoing programs directed toward children and therefore focuses its assistance on such interventions as health, nutrition, immunization, education, water and sanitation.

Website includes information about UNICEF, mission, programs, activities. Checkout Highlights for featured programs that may be of interest. Information Resources Sources and UNICEF in action may also be of interest.

On the left side tool bar several points of interest are emergencies, research and evaluation, and supply. Research and evaluation offers information about UNICEF´s division of Evaluation, Policy, and Planning, and its activities. Supply offers catalogue of products UNICEF can supply to registered procurement customers, information on how to become registered, and more general information on these activities.

UNHCR is mandated by the United Nations to lead and coordinate international action for the world-wide protection of refugees and the resolution of refugee problems.

Web site provides information about UNHCR, programs, and activities; as well as general refugee information and news. The website is worth browsing on one´s own and the home page is pretty descriptive for its categories.

The world offers map and text-based access to country-specific information about refugees. Issues offers a topic-specific route to articles about refugee children, the environment, women's issues. Evaluation and Policy Analysis offers access to UNHCR reports that can be searched by country, theme, or date. Statistics related to crisis situations and UNHCR and partner efforts are also available.

WFP is the frontline United Nations organization fighting to eradicate world hunger, and works in both emergency and development situations.

About WFP contains information on food aid policies for emergencies, rehabilitation development, women, school feeding and work for food. Policies contains the WFP  Mission Statement and its Policy Papers.

Operations on the left-hand side of home page includes links to guidelines and policies regarding food aid programs and country specific projects. News Room includes news on WFP activities and food security world-wide, including weekly emergency reports.
