Food Aid Management
(FAM) was created in 1989 by five U.S. private voluntary organizations to
"promote the efficient and effective use of food aid resources to help
alleviate hunger and contribute to food security". The FAM membership
has grown to 17 U.S. PVOs and FAM enjoys observer status with the World
Food Programme and EuronAid.
