INTRODUCTION

This Essential Reference Collection has been compiled by the Health and Community Development Section (HCDS) in order to meet the needs of UNHCR Health and Nutrition Co-ordinators working in the field who may not have easy access to essential reference materials on health and nutrition issues. The package contains both UNHCR and non-UNHCR materials covering basic health and nutrition subjects and which are of particular use in emergency and refugee situations.

This is not an exhaustive collection of materials. Some materials are currently under review or are expected to be revised in the near future. Therefore, updated CD-Roms will be issued in the future.
