Training on Demand Regional Centre for Emergency Training in International Humanitarian Response
Description

The Training on Demand (TOD) workshop represents an ad hoc emergency training which will be specifically tailored to the particular needs of the participants within a given situation which is either facing an imminent emergency or considered as emergency-prone. The focus and content of the workshop will be shaped and driven by the realities of their situation. During the workshop, participants will apply the emergency management techniques to their own circumstances. The exercise will help institutionalise linkages between the various actors in humanitarian response in that country or area. The capacity of the Centre to timely deliver this type of ad hoc training within minimum preparation is essential in demonstrating its relevance in the actual emergency preparedness process within the region. For the delivery of this type of exercise, the Centre relies upon its regional network of training providers with the view to reinforcing the self-sustaining approach.
